Unboxing

The phone comes in black themed box with the phone’s name written on the box in an aura neon circle.

Inside the black box, you get the shiny Vivo V40 device, SIM card tool, documentation, good quality frosted transparent TPU case, 80W type-C charging adapter with 1m type-A to type-C charging cable. So, thumbs up and excellent for that, Vivo.

Design, colour, in-hand feel and build quality

Vivo V40 comes with waves like pattern under the glass back panel. It has circular flashlight (Smart Aura Light). The Smart Aura Light can change its colors whenever you want to take disco light images.

It is curved on both sides, but flat on top and bottom. The main camera has metal circle to protect the camera from the edges.

The Vivo V40 comes in three colour options: Ganges Blue, Titanium Grey and Lotus Purple.

It’s crafted from high-grade plastic that offers a stunning feel in the hand and the back is both excellent and shiny. The body thickness is of 7.58mm.

It attracts very few fingerprints and touches due to the shiny color of the back cover.

The display protection is Gorilla Glass. Overall, very attractive design and premium in -hand feel.

The SIM card tray is dual SIM type meaning that you can use 2 SIM cards only. SD card is not supported. I think, vivo wants you to buy at least 256GB variant. Some marketing game.

The display does support 120Hz refresh rate with 99.9% working efficiency rate. It’s the modern age required refresh rate display phone under रू 59K budget in Nepal or ₹ 34K budget in India.

In any sunlight, whether direct or harsh, visibility should not be a problem as the display’s brightness of 4500 nits ensures it remains clear and visible.

My thoughts on Vivo V40

By having all these specifications, I am very happy with the Vivo V40 5G.

I’d like to request you to buy 12GB 256GB variant as it’s a 5G enabled smartphone under रू 59K in Nepal, or ₹ 34K in India.

I also recommend it to you if you need a big battery phone (5500 mAh) with big in size (6.78 inches).

If you are looking for a camera-centric phone, then please buy it.

I would also don’t recommend it to users who do gaming at 60 FPS because this particular device doesn’t target gamers and is made for taking photos.

I would recommend it to those who need a 5G ready phone at रू 59,999 in Nepal for average gaming, watching a lot of movies, listening to music, using Facebook, Instagram or YouTube, big battery and capturing social media ready photos with DSLR like photo quality.
