The newly launched realme 13 Pro Plus is a feature-packed all-round multi-purpose 5G smartphone that first debuted on Flipkart on 30th July 2024 in India. With a large 6.7-inch (17.01 centimetre) FHD+ 120Hz 3D curve OLED display with 2000nits peak HDR brightness.

This device produces very-very clear-crystal sharp and immersive videos, photos and texts.

The realme 13 Pro Plus price in Nepal is रु60,000 for the 8GB 256GB base variant (most expected) and ₹32,999 for the base 8GB 256GB base variant in India (official price). The sale officially starts on 30th July 2024 on Flipkart.

The phone runs on Android™ 14 out of the box and is powered by the TSMC’s 4 nanometre fabrication process technology based Qualcomm Snapdragon 7s Gen 2 mobile platform chipset with up to 7 lakh AnTuTu scores.

We expect that the realme 13 Pro Plus 5G is going to be launched in Nepal very soon along with realme 13 Pro.

realme 13 Pro Plus unboxing

The realme 13 Pro+ comes in yellow-coloured box with the phone’s name “13 Pro+” written on the front face of the box.

Inside the box, you get the realme 13 Pro Plus 5G mobile phone, a SIM card tool, documentation, good quality frosted non-transparent TPU case with big round circle cutout section for the entire camera module, stickers, an 80W SuperVOOC charging adapter with a 1m type-A to type-C charging cable.

Charger brick and the cable are white in colour. The phone does support 80W fast charging technology when tested. However, phone doesn’t have hole for the 3.5 mm jack.

The phone does not feel heavier even though it’s powered by a 5200 mAh battery. That is what you get in the retail box when you buy the realme 13 Pro+ 5G mobile phone.

Design, colour, in-hand feel and build quality

The realme 13 Pro+ comes with big circular black island design for three cameras and one flashlight which look stunning and gorgeous, by the way.

It has 3D arc design meaning that it is curved on both front and back to give you premium texture and comfortable grip all the time you use, carry or hold this phone in your hand. The camera module is circular and is similar to realme 12 Pro Plus.

The phone comes in two different colour variants: Emerald Green and Monet Gold.

The phone is carved with well graded polycarbonate middle frame. The 3D curved frame gives you premium, excellent and beautiful in hand feel. The back panel is of glass with matte finish and with leather. So, it will not have any fingerprint impressions and touches on the back.

The screen of this phone is 3D curve OLED display with brightness reaching 2000nits for HDR content, 1200nits for sunlight and 600nits for basic. The display is protected with Corning Gorilla Glass Victus 2. The phone seems to be fit in any hands but it does not feel to be that much heavier in hands as it is kept lightweight. The bezels and chins are just thin and narrow. So, thumbs up for that.

Ports and buttons

On the bottom, there is a microphone, USB type-C slot, speaker grill and SIM Card tray slot. The bottom appears very busy 😀. On the top, you have a noise-cancelling microphone and a speaker grill. On the right-hand side, it has a dedicated power on-off button and a volume up and down button. On the left-hand side, you can see there is nothing. That’s it. But friend, tell me what you think about the newly launched OnePlus Ace 3 Pro ports and buttons? Comment down below!

Weight, battery and charging

realme 13 Pro Plus battery and charging
realme 13 Pro Plus battery and charging.

The realme 13 Pro Plus 5G weighs exactly 190.00gm when I weighed it which is good and obvious because of the massive dual-cell 5200 mAh battery, which gives you 1.5 to 2 days of battery backup under average usage. The phone charges 100% in 49 minutes with the provided 80W charger. Super in weight, battery and charging departments.

Display

realme 13 Pro Plus display
realme 13 Pro Plus display.

If I talk about the display, oh my God! The realme 13 Pro+ has a crazy punchy 6.7-inch 10-bit 120Hz 3D curve OLED display with 2000nits peak brightness for HDR contents like HDR photos and HRD videos. It also support 2160Hz PWM Dimming. The display of this phone produces up to 1.07 billion colours, by the way, and the display can go from 1 to 120Hz automatically based on different usage scenarios.

The display does easily support 120Hz refresh rate with 99.9% working efficiency rate. It’s the modern era required refresh rate mobile phone under 60K price tag in Nepal.

The video viewing angle is also mind boggling. The screen is crystal clear sharp at every corner. One thing is sure that the new realme 13 Pro Plus 5G stands for its 5200 mAh battery and its camera DSLR-like quality.

You should not have any problem in visibility under direct sunlight because of the higher 1200nits brightness, but under harsh sunlight, it may make a concerning point. Display bezels and chin are very-very thin and minimalist.

Like other smartphones, it also seems very much modern and premium category mobile phone since it has a 3D arc design and centred punch hole selfie camera display. Very nice in display department.

realme 13 Pro Plus full specifications

The realme 13 Pro Plus 5G comes with Qualcomm Snapdragon 7s Gen 2 Mobile Platform CPU. It’s an upgraded CPU with max clock speed up to 2.4GHz and is fabricated on TSMC’s 4-nanometre process node, which is again somewhat capable chipset under the premium budget segment.

It comes in 3 variants: 8GB 256GB, 12GB 256GB and 12GB 512GB.

If I talk about its scores, it gives us up to 682560 real-life AnTuTu scores. It’s quite decent score though. You can play games in medium settings, but it is not a gaming phone. Please remember this.

It has a dual nano SIM card slot. So, you can only use 2 SIM cards at once and there is no space for SD card. I hoped for at least hybrid SIM card slot. Let me know what you like: dual nano, hybrid or dedicated SIM card slots? Comment section is empty. So, tyaha gayera aafno bichar rakhnu hola bhanera request gardaichhu.

Performance

The realme 13 Pro Plus also seems good in performance sector. If I talk about the gaming department of this phone, you can play most games on low to medium settings but it could have been complimentary if it had al least SD 8 Gen 1 considering this price segment. It comes with 8GB and 12GB LPDDR4X RAM with 256GB and 512GB UFS 3.1 storage. It mainly targets those users who play videos or use social sites all the time.

OS and UI

The realme 13 Pro+ 5G comes with Android 14 out of the box. The operating system is based on Android 14, and as usual, they have promised to give 2 years of major android version update (up to android 15 and 16), and 3 years of security updates. Hope, realme gives timely updates. They also claim that this phone is certified to provide you the same performance for 3 years of non-stop usage. Since it has 3D curved display, so it has Always on Display (AOD) feature, by the way.

Multimedia

As talked, the realme 13 Pro Plus has vivid 6.7 inches 120Hz 3D curve OLED display with 2000nits brightness. The qualities and colors the display produces are very-very clear and sharp, at every angle as it has 1.07 billion colours to produce, and it’s a 10-bit display, by the way. I hoped, it had a 12-bit display. It does not have the 3.5mm headphone jack. There are mono speakers which are loud and have good base sound quality. So, overall, it’s a good multimedia device.

Connectivity

The realme 13 Pro Plus is a 5G phone and supports 14 5G bands across India with dual 4G VoLTE and VoNR features. It comes with WiFi76 and supports both 2.4GHz and 5GHz Wi-Fi bands allowing you to connect to various available Wi-Fi networks. Sensors

The realme 13 Pro Plus 5G has all sensors like in-display fingerprint sensor, face unlock, accelerometer, gyro, proximity, compass and all other sensors are present there that we find on any other smartphones, and all of them are working very well, by the way.

Additional features

So, on the back, it has a 50MP Sony LYT-701 AI main camera sensor with OIS supported, another 50MP Sony LYT-600 periscope camera sensor with OIS supported, and an 8MP ultrawide camera sensor.

And on the front, it has a 32MP front facing punch hole selfie camera for taking punchy coloured photos, which are social media ready ones.

Photos and videos from primary back sensor come out to be really excellent under any lighting conditions, and are social media worthy, by the way. Images are excellent due to realme’s Hyperimage+ technology.

Do check out this G. Drive link for original photos taken using this phone before jumping into buying this.

You can do videography at 4K resolution with up to 30 FPS (Frames Per Second) with primary sensor, and at 1080p with 16MP selfie sensor.

Camera app supports native 50MP mode, night mode, video mode, film mode, photo mode, portrait mode, beauty mode, document mode, Pro Mode, Dual-View mode, Pro video, Panorama, Slow Motion, Time Lapse and Macro mode.

So, you can use those different modes to take different types of moody and diverse types of atmospheric photographs. The main camera sensor and periscope sensors support OIS natively, by the way.

DSLR vs realme 13 Pro Plus

When compared to a DSLR, the realme 13 Pro Plus brings DSLR-like clarity to its images, thanks to its advanced AI features and high-resolution sensors.

The realme 13 Pro Plus can beat average real DSLR cameras but it won’t win the game with expensive DSLR cameras.
