Design, in-hand feel, build quality and colour

Vivo V40 Pro design, in-hand feel, build and colour

The Vivo V40 Pro has a curvy design.

It is curved on both the front and back to provide smooth and premium in-hand feel. However, it’s flat on top and bottom. The main camera has metal circle to protect the camera from the edges.

It features a wave-like pattern beneath the glass back panel and a circular flashlight known as Smart Aura Light. This Smart Aura Light can alter its colours to suit your preference for disco light photography. It does also come with Matte finish back.

It is made from premium plastic that provides an impressive feel in the hand, with a back that is both exceptional and glossy. It boasts a slim profile with a body thickness of just 7.58mm.

The display is protected by Gorilla Glass which contributes to an overall attractive design and a premium feel in the hand.

The SIM card tray is of the dual-SIM type which means it can only accommodate two SIM cards. SD card is not supported. It seems Vivo is nudging customers towards purchasing the 512GB variant likely as a marketing strategy.

This phone is available in two colour options: Ganges Blue and Titanium Grey.

My final thoughts on Vivo V40 Pro

By having all these specifications, I am very happy with this device.

I’d like to request you to buy 12GB 256GB variant as it’s a 5G enabled smartphone under रू 84 thousand in Nepal, or ₹ 49 thousand in India. You would also save 5 to 10 thousand rupees on this variant. But yes, 16GB and 512GB would be a great option at same price. But they selfishly didn’t do this.

I also recommend it to you if you need a big battery phone (5500mAh) with bigger in size (6.78 inches).

If you are looking for a camera-centric phone, then please buy it.

I would not recommend it to you if you do gaming at 60 FPS all the time because this particular device doesn’t target gamers and is made for master photography.

I would suggest this phone to individuals seeking a 5G-enabled device priced at रू 54,999 in Nepal.

It is ideal for all types of gaming, extensive movie watching, music listening, social media use on platforms like Facebook, Instagram, or YouTube.

Additionally, it offers a large battery capacity of 5500mAh and allows users to capture high-quality photos suitable for social media with DSLR-like clarity.

But this is a high price smartphone because many other smartphones are available in the market with almost same features but with lower price. For example, Samsung Galaxy S23 FE 5G, Xiaomi 14 CiVi 5G, realme GT 6 5G, Samsung Galaxy S23 5G.
