Today marks the launch of Microsoft’s Surface RT laptop, the latest in a series of Surface devices aimed at professional use.
The Surface RT is a convertible laptop that can be used as a tablet, but it also features an Intel Core i5-4210U processor and a 128GB SSD.
The device is the most powerful Surface yet.
Microsoft calls the Surface RT the Surface Pro, but the company says it’s the RT with more ports and more power.
Microsoft says the RT is capable of 15 hours of battery life.
Microsoft has also unveiled a new gaming laptop called the Surface Max.
Microsoft describes the Surface MAX as a “full-size, full-screen gaming laptop.”
The Surface MAX is an Intel-based laptop with a Core i7-3930K processor, 16GB of RAM, and an SSD.
Microsoft has also launched the Surface Book, a convertible hybrid laptop with Intel Core m3 and up to 256GB of SSD storage.
Microsoft’s Surface Pro is the new flagship Surface device.
The Pro is Microsoft’s best-selling laptop with over 3.5 million units shipped in the United States alone.
Microsoft claims the Pro has a 15 hours battery life, as well as a 1TB SSD drive and a Core M5-series processor.
It has a 2-in-1 configuration, which allows the device to be used either as a full-size laptop or as a small tablet.
The Surface Pro 3 and Surface Pro 5 have been announced in the past, but these devices have been less powerful than the Surface Pros.
The new Surface Pro devices are expected to be significantly faster than the Pro 5 and Pro 3.
The Intel Core M-series CPUs in the new Surface Pros will be capable of 3.7GHz Intel Core processors, up from 3.1GHz on the Pro 3, according to Microsoft.
The devices will be available in four configurations, including a Core m5-6Y30 configuration with a 512GB SSD and 128GB of internal storage.
The Core M6Y10 configuration, for example, has a 512MB SSD and 256GB internal storage, according Microsoft.
The Microsoft Surface Pro 15 is expected to ship in October for $2,399.
