Intel is reportedly set to introduce a 15-gigabyte MacBook Pro model for $799 starting in June, a price that would be cheaper than competing laptops from both Dell and Lenovo.
The launch of the 15-inch MacBook Pro would mark the first time the company will be selling a 16-inch laptop, according to the report.
Intel’s initial laptop was released back in October of 2015, and it featured an Intel Skylake processor with an integrated graphics processor and Thunderbolt 3 connectivity.
While the MacBook Pro is still available for purchase through Apple, the company has been offering a 15 and 16-gigsabyte model of the laptop for months now, starting with the 15″ model that debuted at CES 2017.
Intel also has several Thunderbolt 3 compatible notebooks available for sale at its retail stores.
The company is also making a Mac mini with Thunderbolt 3 support, and a new MacBook Pro that offers a larger battery, up to 15 hours of battery life, and is reportedly a thinner laptop.
