Inside the green box, you get the shiny Infinix Note 40X 5G device, SIM card tool, documentation, good quality frosted transparent TPU case, an 18W type-C charging adapter with 1m type-A to type-C charging cable. So, thumbs up and excellent for that.

The phone comes in Lime Green, Starlit Black and Palm Blue colours.

It’s crafted from high-grade plastic that offers a stunning feel in the hand and the back is both excellent and shiny. It’s not a fingerprint magnet which means you won’t see any fingerprint impressions or smudges. It gives you vibes of being glass back for sure.

The Infinix Note 40X 5G features a plastic build that is of superior quality. Well done, Infinix. The choice of a plastic body/frame is attributed to its budget-friendly price category of रू 25K in Nepal or ₹ 15K in India.

The SIM card tray is dedicated one meaning that you can use 2 SIMs and one SD card at the same time.

The display protection is whether Gorilla Glass or Panda Glass is not clearly mentioned.

Ports and buttons

On the bottom, there is a microphone, USB type-C slot, speaker grill and 3.5mm jack. Hmm, great for the 3.5mm headphone jack. Infinix, you rocked!

On the top, you have a speaker grill. There is no dedicated infrared sensor or IR blaster, unfortunately.

On the right-hand side, it has a dedicated power on-off button which also works as a fingerprint sensor, and a volume up and down button.

On the left-hand side, you can see there is a dedicated SIM card slot. That’s it. But friend, tell me what you think about the Lava Blaze X 5G ports and buttons? Comment at the end of the article!

Weight

The Infinix Note 40X has a weight of 201.8 grams, which is slightly on the heavier side, yet it doesn’t feel as heavy as one might expect. Interesting! Hmm.

Battery

The Infinix Note 40X is powered by the single-cell 5000mAh battery. The battery may offer you 3 year of same usage backup.

The charging capacity of Infinix Note 40X is 18W, and the adapter is provided by the company.

The display does support 120Hz refresh rate with 99.9% working efficiency rate. It’s the modern age required refresh rate display phone under रू 25K budget in Nepal or ₹ 15K budget in India.

In medium sunlight, visibility should not be an issue, but under direct or harsh sunlight, the display may be difficult to see due to its brightness of only 500nits.

The display bezels and chin are slim and thin giving it a modern and trendy look similar to other smartphones. Videos are seen sharp and clear. Overall, the display quality is good.

I think, it supports up to 240Hz TSR (Touch Sampling Rate, unofficial). The video viewing angle is also good. Sharp at every corner.

Specification

The Infinix Note 40x is equipped with a MediaTek Dimensity 6300 CPU. This upgraded processor boasts a maximum clock speed of up to 2.4GHz and is built on TSMC’s 6-nanometer process making it an extremely capable processor for under रू 25K in Nepal or ₹ 15K in India.

The Infinix Note 40X is available with a single 256GB UFS 2.2 storage option and offers two RAM variants: 8GB and 12GB LPDDR4X RAM, with 8GB/12GB Memory Fusion (virtual RAM). Good.

If I talk of its scores, it achieves up to 402507 real-life AnTuTu scores which is quite respectable given its lower price point.

You can enjoy gaming at low to medium settings. COD Mobile and Genshin Impact runs at 35 to 40 FPS ensuring you won’t encounter any issues. Thus, it offers a quite satisfactory gaming experience.

The device features a dedicated SIM card slot allowing the use of two SIM cards and one SD card simultaneously.

Performance

The Infinix Note 40X also seems superb in performance sector. If I talk about the gaming department of this phone, you can play up to 35 to 40 FPS on low to medium settings, which is again decent considering this रू 25K price segment in Nepal or ₹ 15K price segment in India.

It comes in 8GB and 12GB LPDDR4X RAM with single 256GB UFS 2.2 storage (ROM). The 8GB and 12GB RAM variants have 8GB and 12GB virtual RAM expansion capabilities respectively.

The Infinix Note 40X mainly targets casual users that play videos or use social sites most of the time, with average casual gaming.

OS and UI

The Infinix Note 40X 5G comes preloaded with XOS 14 which is based on Android 14. Infinix promises to offer two year of security updates. Unfortunately, you won’t get any major android version upgrade.

At least, one year of android version upgrade must be provided because most of the phones, under रू 25K, provide at least one year of android upgrade.

I hope for timely updates considering Infinix’s past delays in rolling out software/security updates. It has very few third party apps. So, it is nearly a clean UI. Good.

It comes with Interactive Dynamic Port. That means, it shows you notification when you plug it in. It’s a feature similar to Dynamic Iland. It has AI Wallpaper Generator feature which you can use to generate various wallpapers with your prompts. The AI gives satisfactory results. I’m impressed.

Multimedia

The Infinix Note 40X 5G has IPS LCD display with resolution of Full HD+ and the qualities and colours the display produces are clear and sharp, at every angle, with 16.7 million colours.

It does have the 3.5mm headphone jack. There are mono speakers which are loud and have decent sound quality. So, overall, it’s a very good multimedia device.

But AMOLED should have been provided because lots of other smartphone brands offer AMOLED display at that price range.

Network and connectivity

The Infinix Note 40X is a 5G phone and supports a total of 10 5G bands across India with dual 4G VoLTE and dual 5G VoNR features.

It also supports both 2.4GHz and 5GHz Wi-Fi bands allowing you to connect to various available Wi-Fi networks.

It also includes features like Wi-Fi Direct, nearby share.

The Infinix Note 40X uses Bluetooth version 5.2. It supports Bluetooth HD Audio Protocol. The phone also supports 360° NFC, but has no IR blaster.

Sensors

The Infinix Note 40X 5G has side-mounted fingerprint sensor, face unlock and all other sensors are present there that we find on any other smartphones, and all of them are working very well.

Additional features

The Infinix Note 40X has SAR value within limit, interactive dynamic port island and GPS  for positioning, FM radio, 3.5mm headphone jack.

It also supports Widevine L1, so, you can stream video in FHD quality.

Infinix Note 40X AI features

For the AI features, it has AI wallpaper generator feature which works good when you give the prompt, interactive dynamic port island for smart notification.

Camera

The Infinix Note 40X 5G supports 3 camera lenses on the back and one camera lens on the front.

The primary rear camera is of 108MP powered by AI. The primary camera lens captures decent photos and videos under bright light conditions.

You can shoot usabe photos with 3X zoom. Good. There are two more camera lenses on the rear. One is 2MP macro lens and another is same 2MP AI depth camera lens.

For the selfie, it’s given an 8MP selfie camera lens which also captures decent photos. Photos are social media ready. So, just click and upload on the social media without editing them.

For videography, you can do videography at 2K resolution at 30FPS. It’s good though.

For the camera features, the Infinix Note 40X has a lot of features like Dual Video Mode, Film Mode, AI Cam Mode, Super Night Mode, Portrait Mode, Sky Shop, Short Video Mode, Video Mode, Timelapse, Slow Motion Mode, Documents Mode, Super Macro Mode, Panorama Mode and AR Shot Mode and all features are working very well.

The front flashlight can be used for taking selfie at night. Good job, Infinix! And of course, there is also a flashlight on the rear.

The primary camera sensor doesn’t support OIS. I think, they should have given at least EIS support.

Ultimately, you can check the original photographs shot on Infinix Note 40X 5G using its rear and front cameras.

My thoughts on Infinix Note 40X

By having all these specifications, I am very happy with the Infinix Note 40X 5G.

I’d like to request you to buy 12GB 256GB variant as it’s a 5G enabled budget smartphone under रू 25K in Nepal, or ₹ 15K in India.

I also recommend it to you if you need a big battery phone with big in size.

If you are looking a camera-centric phone, then please don’t buy it. But yes, it’s a very good phone for taking decent photos.
